JAG is pleased to announce that we have partnered with TransFirst to offer a service for processing credit card charges directly though ClinicTracker. Because the process is entirely integrated into ClinicTracker, you can transform what may have been a difficult, error-prone payment process into a model of efficiency. With one swipe of a credit card, a card reader captures the credit card data, transmits the transaction to the payment gateway, and applies the payment to the patient’s account. The software even makes it more convenient for clients to pay bills online through the Patient Portal.
TransFirst is one of the nation's leading providers of payment processing services. Because their experts know that a one-size-fits-all approach to payment processing doesn't work in today's market, they strive to satisfy each client's unique needs for specialized transaction processing. With more than 15 years of experience and an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau, they know what it takes to help your clinic grow and achieve lasting success.
Here are a few of the questions our support team responded to recently:
Thanks to Randy Brazzel from New Dimensions Day Hospital!
Because of Randy's suggestion, ClinicTracker is better at updating the Patient Summary's Active Problem List when you use the Change of Diagnosis form to make an update. While previously you would be prompted to add newly-entered diagnoses to the Active Problem List, now upon saving, the system will also prompt you if your updated list does not include a previously-assigned active diagnosis. From there you can choose to set the previous diagnosis as inactive in the Problem List.
For his excellent idea, Randy has won our User Suggestion of the Month prize. Congratulations, Randy! You've got a gift on the way from your friends at JAG.
We truly are excited that we can offer you credit card processing functionality within ClinicTracker. And we’re confident that TransFirst’s payment processing services are top notch. Because we developed this solution in response to user requests, we know you’ll be eager to give this solution a try.
To promote the service, TransFirst is offering a free card reader - a $99 value - if you enroll by May 15th. Transactions processed using a card reader are not only faster and more accurate, but also carry lower processing rates than those that are hand entered. TransFirst is also extending to ClinicTracker customers a "Meet or Beat Promise" for their processing fees. We want to ensure that their services save you both time and money.
We offer a series of online videos that take you through various features step-by-step. Here are some examples:
Understanding Meaningful Use measurements is no easy task because, for most of us, they are a confusing hodgepodge of statistics. To make MU life easier for all of us, we created a Meaningful Use Handbook. The manual explains to our MU Clinics the meaning of the data that populate the MU Dashboard display. You should find it easier to make sense of the core, alternate-core, and clinical quality measures. We anticipate that the guide will help you make the most of ClinicTracker Connect's Meaningful Use Dashboard.
To access this tool, go to: Reports -> Meaningful Use Dashboard -> Certification tab. On the lower left you'll find an icon for the Meaningful Use Objectives Handbook.
The critical role of effective staff training around EMR implementation
With the widespread adoption of EMR systems across the US healthcare system, managers are coming to realize the critical importance of planning for effective staff training. Simply put, implementation of the finest EMR solution will falter unless users are properly prepared and supported along the way. The industry is grappling with the consequences of insufficient training and staff acceptance. Indeed, reports have circulated in the press regarding the frustration clinicians and administrative staff have experienced, in part, because of limited initial training and follow-up support. Many managers have also begun to realize the extent to which their organizations have under budgeted for training initiatives.
We at JAG have always appreciated the importance of both initial training and ongoing support for everyone who uses ClinicTracker.
From the first discovery call forward, we focus on providing resources to maximize acceptance and use of the system. Our 100% satisfaction rate for support issues stands as a testament to that commitment. However, we are always looking for ways to improve our implementation and support processes.
Toward that end, we have been working on some new initiatives:
As the healthcare industry is coming to grips with the importance of training staff on an EMR, we’re looking to keep ahead of the curve with the very best in education and support programs. To read more on this subject, click here.
